Frequently Asked Questions About the Multicycle Program for IVF

What does the IVF Multicycle Program consist of?

The Multicycle Program for IVF is a payment plan that allows you to pay a fixed amount for a determined number of IVF and reproductive technology cycles. This program is designed to limit the cost of the treatment if the procedure is successful after several attempts or is not successful.

How much does the Multicycle Program cost?

The total cost of the Multicycle Program will be specified in your contract. This cost covers the selected number of IVF cycles and doesn’t include additional fees like preselection tests, medications, hospital bills, or third-party charges.

Is the Multicycle Program the same as insurance?

No, the Multicycle Program is not insurance. It is a payment option that allows you to have a fixed cost for up to four IVF cycles while limiting the cost of the treatment if the procedure is successful after several attempts or is not successful.

Can I participate in the Multicycle Program if I have a medical prescription for egg preservation?

Yes, you can participate in the Multicycle Program. However, if you request to freeze unfertilized eggs without a doctor’s order, you will be charged an additional $1,500.00 for each freezing. This fee is separate from the Multicycle Program deposit and it is nonrefundable.

What happens if I become pregnant independently of the assisted reproductive technology treatment provided by Panama Fertility once a cycle starts?

If you become pregnant independently of the treatment provided by Panama Fertility after a cycle has been performed, there will be no refund.

How does the option of PGT biopsy and lab analysis work?

Patients who select the PGT Biopsy and Laboratory Analysis option must agree that all mature eggs will be inseminated and that all embryos that meet Panama Fertility criteria for biopsy will be analyzed. The biopsied embryos must be cryopreserved and the patient must return for a frozen embryo transfer. Genetically normal embryos must be transferred before starting another fresh cycle. Embryo biopsy and laboratory analysis fees are independent of this agreement and are at the prices established in the contract.

What happens if I decide to end the Multicycle Program agreement while I still have cryopreserved embryos or vitrified eggs?

If you terminate the agreement while you still have cryopreserved embryos or vitrified eggs obtained through an IVF cycle in the Multicycle Program and wish to keep those embryos or eggs in storage at Panama Fertility or any other storage facility or clinic, there will be no reimbursement until they are transferred to the patient at the Panama Fertility facilities.

Can I change my payment option after signing the contract?

The payment option you choose is completely up to you. However, once you sign the contract, you voluntarily agree to participate in the Multicycle Program, and any change in payment option must be discussed with Panama Fertility.

What if I have more questions about the Multicycle Program?

Do not sign the agreement until all of your questions regarding the Multicycle Program have been answered to your satisfaction. If you have further questions, please consult your Panama Fertility representative or a medical professional.
