For women, we offer egg freezing, which is the process of extracting the patient’s eggs, freezing them by vitrification and preserving them at very low temperatures for an indefinite period of time.

 

The eggs will not age, remaining the same age they were when they were retrieved and frozen.

 

It consists of the following procedures:

Ovarian Stimulation

We stimulate your ovaries with hormonal medication to encourage follicle development.

Extraction and Collection

We extract the resulting eggs and/or the sperm to be used following the most advanced techniques.

Egg Retrieval Process

The procedure to extract the eggs is relatively painless and is performed under light sedation.

Egg Vitrification

We follow a procedure called egg vitrification. Egg vitrification is a quick freezing method.

Egg Thawing

When you are ready, you will need to book an In Vitro Fertilization procedure to have those eggs fertilized.

Who is egg freezing recommended for?

  • It is recommended for patients at risk of losing ovarian function: women who have been diagnosed with cancer and will receive chemotherapy or radiation therapy, women with autoimmune diseases requiring bone marrow transplants or chemotherapy, and women who have to undergo frequent ovarian surgeries to treat conditions such as endometriosis.

  • When there is no medical indication, it is recommended for women who decide to postpone childbearing for various reasons, whether social, financial or professional.
