Panama Fertility

IVF with donor eggs

Depending on your age and medical history, it may have been suggested to you that your best chance of achieving a pregnancy is to use donor eggs or sperm. At Panama Fertility we focus on individualized care and creating a treatment plan based on your fertility history.

IVF WITH DONOR EGGS

When do we recommend IVF with donor eggs?

There are different cases in which patients are unable to provide their own eggs or sperm due to different types of difficulties or fertility problems. On the other hand, this is an excellent option for women who wish to become single mothers.

Women with ovarian problems

For women who have suffered ovarian failure or for women over 40 with a low ovarian reserve, using an egg donated by a younger woman may be their best chance of achieving pregnancy. Some women also opt for this route if there is a familial genetic disease that can be passed on to a child using their own eggs.

We are the first regional center where women choose their donors and you will have access to a lot of information and background information.

At Panama Fertility, the best fertility clinic in Panama, we are proud to be the first regional center where women can choose their donors, having access to a wide range of information and background information. Our commitment is to provide a safe and transparent environment where every patient can make informed decisions with confidence. With a team of dedicated specialists and state-of-the-art technology, we guarantee a personalized and confidential process, supporting our patients every step of the way on their journey to motherhood.

IVF WITH DONOR EGGS

Ovulation Induction in 3 Steps

Ovulation induction may seem overwhelming, but don’t worry. We’ve outlined the process in 3 easy steps.

Donor selection

At Panama Fertility all egg donors are anonymous and you can choose from donors between the ages of 21 and 31 from our extensive egg bank. In our egg bank we have donors from all ethnic backgrounds who have passed strict donor testing. All donors in our egg bank undergo genetic testing for hereditary and genetic diseases. They also undergo psychological screening and have sessions with our counselor to ensure that they fully understand the implications of egg donation. As a recipient, you can view photographs of the donors in our database and choose the donor based on her physical appearance, which closely resembles your own characteristics, such as eye color, skin color, hair color and height. You will also know the level of education attained by the donor and whether she has had children of her own. All of our tests meet FDA requirements.

Coordinating your cycle

First, an evaluation will be performed to ensure that your uterus is capable of carrying the pregnancy to term. Then, in conjunction with our IVF coordinator, you will be able to choose your donor. Our IVF coordinator will contact the donor to schedule the IVF cycle. We would also begin to medicate the donor to stimulate her ovaries and prepare her for egg retrieval.

At this time we would set a date for the donor egg retrieval and, at this stage, we would also need the male partner’s sperm to fertilize the egg. Once fertilization has occurred in our laboratory, we will schedule the embryo transfer to the recipient. Once the embryo transfer is completed, a 10-day wait for a pregnancy test begins.

In terms of cost, an IVF cycle with donor eggs is $8550 (USD) plus your medication costs. These can vary, but we can estimate between $300 and $500 (USD).

The best thing about treatment at our clinic is that, thanks to our large donor database, we have no waiting list and are ready to start your treatment cycle as soon as you are.

Our journey had been long and unsuccessful trying to get pregnant. We decided to visit a fertility clinic near where we live and it was not the experience we were looking for. I mentioned the idea of medical tourism and we found Panama Fertility. Some of the reasons we decided to choose Panama Fertility is the cost difference. We made a virtual appointment with the clinic and felt very comfortable with the doctor. He explained to us how the whole process could work, we could live in South Florida and just travel for the treatments. However, we had been working from home for a while and decided to move to Panama. I loved the people, I loved the country. And it is a much nicer lifestyle at a fraction of the price. Everyone at the clinic has been very nice. And now we are looking forward to our new chapter in the story.

After 11 years of marriage and three years without success, we knew something was wrong. Despite visiting specialists and undergoing tests, we never received a conclusive answer. Eventually, we gave up the idea of becoming parents. However, during the pandemic, we decided to explore our options and discovered Panama Fertility. From the first visit, we received a clear plan and felt supported by Dr. Mario Vega, who was always accessible. The process was smooth and, to our surprise, we conceived on the first try. The supportive environment of the clinic relieved all our stress. The level of professionalism and customer service is exceptional. We sincerely recommend Panama Fertility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Donor egg IVF is a fertility treatment that uses donated eggs from a carefully selected FDA-approved donor. This treatment is suitable for individuals or couples who are unable to produce viable eggs or who have an increased risk of passing on genetic disorders. Donor eggs are fertilized with the partner’s or donor’s sperm, and the resulting embryos are transferred into the recipient’s uterus. IVF with donor eggs provides an opportunity for those who are unable to conceive using their own eggs.
